Terms of Use — Zoho Desk Extensions

These terms cover the two Zoho Desk extensions published by Yin Yang Inc. (trading as ClonePartner) on Zoho Marketplace: PII Masker and CSV Import Checker.

They supplement our main Terms of Service, which govern the website and our migration services. Where the two differ on a matter concerning the extensions, this page applies.

1. Free to use

Both extensions are provided free of charge. There is no licence fee, subscription, or usage limit, and installing one creates no commercial relationship with us. No account, API key, or payment method is required.

2. Provided as-is

The extensions are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

3. You are responsible for checking the output

This matters more for these tools than the phrase usually implies, so it is worth stating plainly.

PII Masker finds personal data using pattern matching and column-name heuristics. These are good, but they are not perfect and cannot be. The tool may miss personal data written in a format it does not recognise, and it may alter a value that was not personal data at all. Always review the masked output before sharing it outside your organisation. Do not treat a file as safe to share solely because it has been through this tool.

CSV Import Checker reports problems it can detect against Zoho Desk's documented import rules. A clean result means the checks it performs found nothing — not that an import is guaranteed to succeed. Field requirements are configured per portal and the extension cannot see your configuration, which is why such findings are presented as advisory rather than as fact.

Masking personal data is a technical measure. It is not, by itself, compliance with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, or any other regulation, and nothing produced by these extensions constitutes legal advice. Whether a particular masked dataset may lawfully be shared with a particular recipient is a question for your own legal and data protection advisers.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yin Yang Inc. is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of these extensions, including any disclosure of personal data the tools did not detect, any data altered or lost during processing, and any failed or partial import. As the extensions are provided free of charge, no fees have been paid against which liability could be measured.

6. Your data

Neither extension collects, transmits, or stores any data. See the Zoho Desk Extensions Privacy Policy for detail, and for how to verify that claim from the installed package.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, change, or withdraw either extension at any time. Material changes to how an extension handles data will be described in the Marketplace listing's release notes before the change is published.

Zoho and Zoho Desk are trademarks of Zoho Corporation. Yin Yang Inc. is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Zoho Corporation. Your use of Zoho Desk itself is governed by your agreement with Zoho.
