Speed

The migration timeline depends on both our turnaround time and yours.

We can complete a migration in under a day when the accounts are connected and the sample migration is approved promptly.

Background Sync

We also support migrating the newest records first, so you can go live faster while the rest of the data is synced in the background.

Data Volume Impact

Larger data volumes may require longer migration windows.

Continuous Operation

We go live on a Monday. The bulk load runs in the days before, and the final delta of changed records runs before the working day starts.

What does an Engineer-led migration mean anyway?

Speed & Accuracy: Our Blended Method

We blend automation (smart scripts, bulk APIs) with human expertise for speed without risk. Our engineers manually check every mapping, validation, and exception.

You get:

  1. Speed of automation for bulk record migration
  2. Precision of engineers verifying integrity and business logic
  3. Pilot migrations and sandbox testing to catch issues early
  4. Real-time validation reports and rollback readiness
Result: 50x faster migrations than manual imports — with near-zero error rates.

Handling the Tricky Tech and API Details

The SAP ECC and SYSPRO APIs each behave differently, which is where our engineers shine. We build custom logic to handle the data quirks where generic tools typically break.

We handcraft API logic for:

  1. Field mapping and transformation
  2. Pagination, rate-limit handling, and throttling
  3. Preserving GL history, journal entries, and transaction records
  4. Syncing custom fields, modules, and chart of accounts without breaking structure
Our scripts: Natively retry failed calls, re-queue large attachments, and ensure data parity.

No Guesswork

We don't just promise smooth migrations—we measure and prove them. Every client receives a Migration Validation Report with all metrics.

Typical results across projects:

  1. 100% record-count parity between your SAP ECC data and SYSPRO
  2. Zero downtime during staged cutovers
  3. 99.9% attachment integrity (verified via checksum)
  4. Full automation and preservation of all business rules
Our standard: Includes full audit-trail and reconciliation preservation and 30 days of engineer-assigned support post go-live.

We Adapt to Your Setup (Not the Other Way Around)

No two teams configure SAP ECC or SYSPRO exactly the same way—with unique modules and data. We customize every migration script to fit your exact workflow, modules, and chart of accounts.

Our engineers adapt for:

  1. Custom fields, modules, and workflows
  2. Multi-entity or multi-company setups
  3. Historical imports and partial (date-based) migrations
  4. Integration re-mapping for banking, payroll, or reporting tools
The promise: If your data doesn't fit a standard template, we build one just for you.

SAP ECC → SYSPRO

6 questions
Which SAP ECC objects don't map cleanly into SYSPRO and what should we do about them?
Five entity types require workarounds rather than direct field mapping: AR and AP line items (mapped to AR/AP Invoices, but only open items are recommended for migration), Production Orders (AUFK maps to Work Orders with potential loss of routing details), Stock balances (MARD/MCHB mapped per warehouse, but batch splits need lot tracking configured in SYSPRO first), and Condition Records/Pricing (complex SAP pricing conditions are flattened into SYSPRO Price Lists, losing condition hierarchies). For each of these, your team should agree before migration begins on which data to carry across, what to reconstruct manually in SYSPRO, and whether historical closed items are needed at all.
SAP ECC doesn't have a REST API — how do you actually extract the data?
Standard SAP ECC has no native REST API; extraction relies on RFC/BAPI calls, and where standard BAPIs don't cover all required fields (which is common), we use RFC_READ_TABLE for direct table reads or custom Z-BAPIs. Large extractions are broken into batches to avoid SAP memory and timeout limits, and the RFC user account must be provisioned with precise authorization objects (S_RFC, S_TABU_DIS, and object-specific authorizations) before extraction can start. If your landscape uses SAP Gateway OData services as an add-on, we can work with those too, but they typically require custom service generation per object and are not available by default.
Does historical or archived SAP data — like closed invoices or archived documents — come across to SYSPRO?
Documents archived via SAP ArchiveLink are not accessible through standard BAPIs or RFC_READ_TABLE and require a separate extraction step; you should confirm with your SAP basis team which document types have been archived and whether retrieval is feasible before scoping the migration. Posted history is usually loaded into SYSPRO as opening balances or reference data, rather than re-posted as live transactions. Agree on a clear cutover date so that anything posted in SAP after that point is handled by your go-live process rather than the migration.
What has to exist in SYSPRO before the migrated data can actually load?
SYSPRO's e.net business objects enforce referential integrity at import time, so GL accounts, warehouse records, tax codes, and supplier/customer records must exist before dependent transactions (Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, AP/AR Invoices, Stock balances) can be imported without errors. This means the migration runs in a specific sequence: master data first, then transactional data. If your SYSPRO company is newly configured, your implementation team — not ClonePartner — is responsible for setting up the base configuration such as company structure, tax tables, and warehouse codes; we migrate the content once the target is ready to receive it.
What happens to SAP custom fields (Z-fields, append structures, CI includes) during the migration?
Standard SAP BAPIs and RFC calls do not expose custom Z-fields or fields added via append structures and CI includes, so these require custom extraction logic on the SAP side. On the SYSPRO side, custom form fields are stored in separate plus tables (for example, ArCustomer+ for customer extensions) and must be mapped and loaded independently from the main business object payload. Both sides of this need to be identified and scoped before migration starts; any custom fields not surfaced during scoping will not be migrated.
How does SAP's complex pricing model translate into SYSPRO Price Lists?
SAP ECC pricing conditions stored in KONV and the A-tables support multi-level condition hierarchies — customer-specific, material-specific, scale pricing, and surcharges — that have no direct equivalent in SYSPRO's Price List structure. The migration flattens these into SYSPRO Price Lists on a best-effort basis, which means composite or formula-based conditions need to be reviewed and recreated manually in SYSPRO after the data lands. Before migration, your pricing team should export and document the active condition records from SAP so nothing is lost in translation, particularly for customer-specific or contract pricing that isn't visible in standard price list outputs.

Before you start

2 questions
Do I need professional help for this migration?
While simple migrations can sometimes be handled in-house, professional help ensures zero data loss, proper field mapping, and preservation of relationships between records. Our engineer-led approach catches edge cases that automated tools miss.
Does ClonePartner provide guidance before committing?
Yes. We provide a free consultation and assessment. We'll review your data structure, discuss your requirements, and provide a detailed migration plan and fixed-price quote before you commit to anything.

Data & mapping

2 questions
Will original document numbers, created dates and user references be preserved?
Yes — we carry them across. Where SYSPRO cannot store one of them natively, it is kept in a custom field or reference on the migrated record, so every record can be traced back to SAP ECC.
If the new system can't natively support an old record type, what are my options?
We handle it case by case: map it to the closest native object, create a custom field or object, fold it into the parent record as text or an internal note, attach it as a file, or keep it in a read-only archive. You see how your chosen approach looks in a sample migration before we run the full set.

Timeline & downtime

3 questions
How long does the SAP ECC to SYSPRO migration take?
Most migrations complete within 1–5 business days, depending on data volume and complexity. We provide a detailed timeline after the initial assessment and can often complete small migrations in under 24 hours.
Will my team lose access to SAP ECC during the migration?
No. SAP ECC stays fully operational while we run the bulk load in the background. The only pause is a short freeze before go-live, so the final delta of changed records can be applied and reconciled.
Will there be downtime when migrating from SAP ECC to SYSPRO?
Very little. The bulk load runs in the days before go-live while SAP ECC stays live. We go live on a Monday, never a Friday: SAP ECC freezes before the working day starts, and the final delta covers changed records only, which typically takes about 30 minutes.

Security & access

1 question
Can we whitelist a single IP instead of opening our network to your migration tool?
Yes — all migration traffic runs through a centralized system using one fixed IP, which your IT team can whitelist instead of opening broader network access.

Pricing

1 question
Is migration pricing a flat fee, or does it scale with data volume?
It's a flat fee based on the scope estimate you give us — small variances in actual volume (a bit more or less) don't change the price.

After go-live

5 questions
How do I validate that everything migrated correctly?
Every client receives a Migration Validation Report with comprehensive metrics including record-count parity, attachment integrity verification via checksum, and full audit logs. We also offer unlimited sample migrations so you can verify before committing.
What support do you provide after the migration goes live?
At ClonePartner, we consider ourselves your partners in this journey. We take full accountability for your migration's success. Once your migration goes live, we provide 30 days of comprehensive post-migration support. During this period, we will assist with everything needed to ensure your transition is a complete success.
Will we get a migration report and a mapping sheet linking old record IDs to new ones?
Yes. We provide a comprehensive migration report along with an ID-mapping sheet that links each SAP ECC record — customers, suppliers, items, orders and invoices — to its new ID in SYSPRO. This ensures full traceability and simplifies post-migration verification.
After migration, do I contact ClonePartner or the platform's own support if something looks wrong?
ClonePartner is the contact for anything about the migrated data itself. Platform-level behavior — posting setup, approval workflows, and similar configuration — is handled by SYSPRO's own support or your implementation partner.
Will we get a report showing exactly what migrated versus what didn't?
Yes. You get a final reconciliation report comparing source and target counts for every object.
