How are SYSPRO Cash Book entries handled in Acumatica, which has no direct equivalent?

SYSPRO Cash Book entries do not map to a single Acumatica entity. ClonePartner splits them by transaction type: customer-side receipts become Payment records and supplier-side payments become VendorPayment records. Before migration begins, each Cash Book entry needs to be classified correctly in the source data, so reviewing transaction-type codes in SYSPRO ahead of the scoping call will prevent misrouted records on the Acumatica side.

Do SYSPRO custom form fields (plus-table fields) come across to Acumatica automatically?

They do not transfer automatically. SYSPRO stores custom form data in separate SQL tables named with a '+' suffix—for example, ArCustomer+ alongside ArCustomer—so they require a dedicated extraction step beyond the standard business-object queries. On the Acumatica side, any target custom fields must first be created through a Customization Project and published so the extended endpoint is available via the API; only then can ClonePartner map and write values to them. Identifying all plus-table fields in scope and confirming the matching Acumatica customization is deployed are both prerequisites before migration starts.

What has to be set up in Acumatica before ClonePartner can import dependent records like inventory or AR invoices?

Acumatica enforces referential integrity through its API, so certain foundation records must exist before dependent data can be written. GL Accounts must be present before Journal Transactions can import, warehouses (ItemWarehouse) must exist before inventory stock levels land, and tax codes referenced on Sales Orders or AR Invoices must be configured. ClonePartner migrates entities in dependency order, but any GL account structure, tax codes, or warehouse setup that is being redesigned for Acumatica needs to be completed by your implementation team before the dependent data migration runs.

Can historical posted GL journal entries from SYSPRO be imported into Acumatica closed periods?

Posted history is usually loaded into Acumatica as opening balances or kept in an archive, rather than re-created as live transactions. On the Acumatica side, writing into a closed financial period requires that period to be reopened by an administrator before ClonePartner's JournalTransaction payloads are accepted via the API. Once the historical data is loaded, the periods can be re-closed. Agree with your finance team which historical periods are in scope and ensure they are temporarily reopened in Acumatica before the migration window for those records.

How does ClonePartner connect to SYSPRO—do we need database access or a specific API setup?

We usually read SYSPRO directly from its SQL Server company database. That reaches every table, including the custom form plus tables such as [ArCustomer+]. Where direct SQL access is not possible, we use SYSPRO's read-only OData service, which SYSPRO describes as the only access mechanism in its Syspro Cloud ERP environment. Each SYSPRO company has its own database, so multi-company sites are extracted company by company, and we confirm the access route on the scoping call.

If we run multiple SYSPRO companies, can they all be migrated to Acumatica at once?

Each SYSPRO company maintains its own separate SQL Server database, so multi-company extraction must run company by company rather than in a single pass. On the Acumatica side, each tenant or branch entity also requires separate API authentication. ClonePartner handles both constraints, but the migration scope, entity mappings, and any cross-company consolidation rules (for example, merging supplier records that exist in multiple SYSPRO companies into one Acumatica Vendor) need to be defined during scoping so the sequencing and deduplication logic is agreed before work begins.
