# Terms of Service — PII Detector

These terms cover **PII Detector**, the Intercom app published by **Yin Yang Inc.** (trading as ClonePartner) on the Intercom App Store. By installing it you agree to them.

## What you get

The app is **free**. There is no trial, no paid tier and no usage limit. We may introduce paid features later; if we do, what is free today stays free for workspaces that already have it installed.

## What it does

It scans the conversation a teammate has open for personal data and reports what it finds, and it redacts a message through Intercom's redaction feature when a teammate asks it to.

## What it does not promise

**The app finds patterns; it does not guarantee it finds everything.** Personal data takes forms no pattern will match, and a scan that reports nothing is not proof that a conversation is clean. Do not treat this app as a compliance control on its own, and do not rely on it as the only thing standing between you and a regulator.

It also does not read everything in a very long conversation. Intercom's API returns at most 500 messages per conversation and will not return more, so on a longer thread the app reports how many messages it read out of how many exist, rather than implying it read all of them.

## Redaction

**Redaction is permanent and cannot be undone**, by us or by Intercom. It removes an entire message, not the sensitive part of it. The app only ever redacts when a teammate presses the button. You are responsible for what your teammates choose to redact, including any record you were obliged to keep.

## Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not offer an uptime guarantee. If our server is unreachable, the panel will say so and the rest of Intercom is unaffected — the app cannot break your Inbox.

## Provided as is

The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of it is limited to what you paid us for it, which is nothing. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.

## Ending it

Uninstall the app from your Intercom workspace at any time. That revokes our access immediately and deletes the access token we held. We may discontinue the app, in which case we will update the App Store listing.

## Governing terms

Your use of Intercom itself is governed by your agreement with Intercom, not by these terms. Our [Privacy Policy for PII Detector](/intercom-app-privacy) forms part of these terms.
